My name is Camryn Thomes and I have the pleasure of coming from the great pine tree state of Maine!

When I was younger, I was initially inspired to become an illustrator by reading comics like Garfield and Big Nate. Then, I decided to attend MECA&D to pursue an art career. In 2023, I took a graphic novel class that gave me the confidence and skill to write and illustrate my very first comic, solidifying my passion for storytelling. 

Outside of school work,  I continue to build on my character design practice.  Over the past few years, I have created many characters with their own unique designs and background stories. I also like to read comics like the Sandman Series or Solo Leveling webcomic. Reading these and others,  I have discovered how specific styles and character designs can grab the reader's attention and connect them to the story. 

The world is filled with many unique people who inspire my comics. I may not depict them all, but at least I can try.
